​Laura VanGuilder is an enrolled member of the Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe. She has been beading for approximately one year and was taught by her mother. Her favorite things to do are agate picking with her 3-year-old daughter and fiancé, and beading. She has worked with netting and square stitches but her go-to techniques are brick and peyote stitches.
